September and the seasons change here in Moldova. Like clock work suddenly it's Autumn. Days are cooler (60's) and nights require the "plapuma" or blanket. On a nice sunny autumn day you can hear the corn stalks whispering in the fields. Look there's a pumpkin hiding in those stalks. If these were moving pictures, you'd see the leaves of those two cotton wood trees just shaking in the wind. The ducks go merrily, merrily, merrily down the stream, while the goose patrol keep an eye on the shore line. There's a rooster with something to crow about. And clouds, the clouds are just phenomenal. No comment from Mr Ed there. Notice the picture past the horse, it has an interesting contrast of fence styles at the corner. Stone fence meets stick fence. And the corn is stacked in the yard. Look down the river now, see where those two cotton woods are now? (middle of the picture). We've walked a little ways. I envied the house in this next picture with its site high on the hill. Location, location, location. Here's a stone fence that's a work of art. And a handy resting spot which would be ideal for a picnic. In the distance, you can see the church tower of the village. And there are machines that are ready for harvest time. Get along John Deer. Got's to get that hay stored up for the winter. You've heard people say it was blue/green. Well here's a blue house next to a green house. Kind of close to each other by Moldovan standards. Must be family. We take the steep trail to the top of the hill and enjoy the horizons in every direction. Enjoy your horizons till we meet again. Happy Autumn.
